Team Leader Cheston C. Syma Featured in "Franchise Players"
Entrepreneur Magazine highlights franchisees in a question and answer interview column called “Franchise Players.” One of our very own franchisees, Sport Clips Team Leader Cheston C. Syma, recently made an appearance in their publication! Syma comes from an interesting background. Formerly a U.S. Marine, he protected Congressional members and U.S. diplomats in the State Department’s High-Threat Protection Teams in Baghdad, Iraq and Kabul, Afghanistan.
So how did he make the transition from war zones to a sports-themed haircutting zone? Syma says the answer is simple, “I chose Sport Clips Haircuts because the business model and concept resonated with me. You must love the concept to have passion for the business, and know that the more time you invest in your own business, the more successful it will become.” Syma oversees 10 Sport Clips stores across three states and is hoping to expand more in the future.
Syma has partnered with the other Sport Clips stores throughout the U.S. to raise $750,000 in funds for “Help a Hero”, a scholarship for veterans, by Veteran’s Day. Donations are being received at all our store locations, and Sport Clips will donate one dollar for every haircut on November 11th.
